Talent Acquisition Workflow

Overview

I explored how a shared interface could help talent acquisition staff and managers follow new hires through onboarding. The prototype includes a pipeline, record details, orientation planning, and a focused My Hires view for managers.

Design focus

The coordinator view provides an overview of progress and items that need attention. The manager view narrows that down to individual hires and the next action to take. A mobile layout explores how that guidance could work away from a desk.

What to look for
  • 01A pipeline with details available in a side panel.
  • 02Orientation planning alongside hiring progress.
  • 03A manager view that explains what needs to happen next.
Category
Internal tools / Interface design
Platform context
Designed for a Power Apps canvas app with SharePoint, around an existing Microsoft 365 environment.

Coordinator · Orientation Week

One date, grouped by location.

Everyone scheduled for a session is listed under their location with background, I-9, and paperwork status, and four toggles per row for the day itself. Two explicitly labelled actions send the pre-orientation list and the post-orientation update to each store's manager.

Layout prototype. The send actions and last-sent times illustrate the proposed flow; nothing is connected.

Manager · My Hires, phone

What you need to do, per hire.

A store manager sees only their own new hires: the session date and location, two status chips, and a plain-language line about the one thing to do next. Requesting a part-time hire is the single fixed action at the bottom.

Design reference capture. In this build the date line and status chips overlap on narrow cards; the source layout is being corrected before a final public capture.

Supporting screens

The coordinator dashboard, the Monday manager digest email design, and a workflow diagram are available as secondary references.

The email is a design, not evidence that emails are sent.

In development

This is a layout and interaction prototype with fictional sample records. The screens illustrate the proposed workflow rather than a connected production hiring system.

  • Captures come from a canvas of design artboards with light interactions, not a production recruiting system.
  • Names, stores, dates, and counts are fictional sample data.
  • The prototype tracks status and next steps; it does not rank candidates or make hiring decisions.
